ALLEGRETTI OFFICIALLY KICKS-OFF RUN FOR NY-13

Staten Island, NY – Life-long district resident and Republican Michael Allegretti, kicked-off his campaign for New York’s Thirteenth Congressional District at the Excelsior Grand on Staten Island to an enthusiastic crowd of over five hundred people tonight.

Michael remarked, “You are the people on whose shoulders this race will be won.  You are the people who will help to lead our country out of the wilderness.  And you are the people from whom our message will come.”

In remarks announcing his candidacy, Michael, an independent conservative, struck an optimistic tone saying,

“I want to go to Washington to create an environment for lasting and meaningful jobs.  I want to go to Washington to reduce our debt and cut our taxes.  To put government back in its rightful place, and people back in theirs:  the workplace… Our first priority will be creating jobs.  Our second priority will be creating quality jobs. And our third priority will be creating the environment to keep jobs.”

Michael also said, with regard to how he will run his campaign, “This will be a noticeably different type of campaign, built around robust ideas rather than hollow ideology.”

Michael was introduced to the crowd by Staten Island businesswoman, Chrissy Mazzolla. Mrs. Mazzola owns North American DF, Inc. located on Watchogue Road on Staten Island.

Tonight’s Kick-Off event also served as a fundraiser for the campaign. The event raised $102,000.

Michael Allegretti is a life-long resident of New York's Thirteenth Congressional district and a co-owner of a small business.  His family has owned Bayside Fuel Oil for over 75 years.  When not running for Congress Michael works with business leaders and elected officials across the nation to make America energy independent and transition to the 21st century economy.
